Safeguarding
Everyone who plays, works or volunteers at Blackwell should feel safe, welcome and looked after. This page sets out our commitment and where to find the full policies.
Safeguarding Policy Statement
Blackwell Golf Club Limited (the “Club”) is committed to ensuring that everyone who takes part in golf here does so in a safe, welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable environment.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, including committee members, staff, volunteers, coaches, PGA professionals engaged by the Club, members, parents and carers, and visitors. Individually and collectively, our actions help to create a positive culture in which concerns are recognised and addressed.
The Club recognises and fully adopts England Golf’s safeguarding policies and procedures, for both children and young people and for adults, and adheres to their guidance and best practice. These national policies set the expectations, and the accompanying guidance provides resources that support best practice across the game.
Importantly, every golf organisation has its own duty of care. Blackwell Golf Club is responsible for putting in place safeguarding arrangements that are appropriate to its activities, facilities and people.
