A limited number of memberships are available…

Blackwell Golf Club was established in 1893. The founders of the club established a constitution and an ethos that has been maintained across the decades. This has produced a true members club that prides itself in extending a warm welcome to new members and visitors alike.

The club, which is far removed from a large corporate golfing facility, is proud to have successfully preserved the traditions, standards and character of the game both on and off the course for so many years.
Membership at Blackwell provides a welcome escape from the playing pressures which are often a factor in the modern game. We rarely have starting sheets and our deliberately small and intimate membership allows the game to be played in a relaxed, friendly and competitive spirit throughout the year. All this is on the classic Herbert Fowler and Tom Simpson designed parkland course that remains a timeless delight. Tee times are not booked in advance and foursomes golf is very popular, with many matches arranged in the celebrated stud bar on the morning of play.

Prospective members are invited to send in a handwritten note for the attention of the Club Manager, Charlie Hine with details about their history - on & off the course – or contact him on 0121 445 1994.

To ensure that the prospective members obtain a good understanding of Blackwell, applicants are usually invited to play 9-holes with two Committee Members and subsequently may be invited to meet with the membership committee before their application is considered further.

If you feel that Blackwell’s traditional, quality-driven approach both on and off the course may suit you, further information on becoming a member can be requested by contacting the Club Manager (Charlie Hine) by email at
