Blackwell Ladies Golf Club

Blackwell Ladies Golf Club is a ladies club in its own right, sharing the course and many of the clubhouse facilities of Blackwell Golf Club.

Ladies have a long history of playing golf at Blackwell. As was usual with mixed clubs of the late nineteenth century, the ladies of Blackwell quickly formed their own sub-committee (1899) to enable them to run their own competitions. Some of these ladies were well-known golfers of the very early days. In 1903 a representative from Blackwell Golf Club (Mrs Holcroft) attended the inaugural meeting of what became the Worcestershire Ladies County Golf Association. The Holcroft Buttons are believed to be early prizes won by this redoubtable lady and these are exhibited in the Ladies’ Lounge.

Blackwell Ladies Golf Club was established in 2006 as a Club in its own right. It shares the same course as Blackwell Golf Club and uses many of the clubhouse facilities.

We have a full calendar of Medals and Stablefords throughout the year as well as stroke and matchplay trophy competitions. There is also an extensive fixture list of matches against other Worcestershire clubs and further afield. Tuesday at Blackwell is Ladies’ Day, when the tee is reserved up to 12.30pm.

We have unrestricted use of the course during the week. On Saturdays ladies are able to play and use the clubhouse after 4.00pm and on Sundays after 10.00am.

Blackwell Ladies Golf Club welcomes new members. If you are interested in finding out more please email the Ladies’ Secretary or fill in our online application form.
